“Green development, ecological civilization and rural revitalization” constitute the current guiding ideology of agriculture and rural development in China. There are series of problems related to agricultural development in China, including severe pollution of arable land and water resources, low utilization efficiency of agricultural resources and unsafe agricultural products. The efficiency of agricultural resources utilization, agricultural ecosystem materials, precise nutrient management, sustainable agriculture cycle, crop molecular regulation mechanism, molecular design breeding, intelligent agriculture and technological innovation are urgently needed for promotion of agricultural development in China. In view of this, “The 1^st International Symposium on Efficient Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainable Development” will be held in October, 25-27, 2018 in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, China organized by the Center for Agricultural Resources Research, Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It dedicates to creating a stage for exchanging the latest research results on efficient utilization of agricultural resources and sustainable agricultural development and sharing the advanced research methods. We would like to invite contributors to submit special report, academic report, academic poster and paper manuscript to our conference.

We sincerely welcome experts and scholars all over the world who are interested in agricultural resources utilization and sustainable development to attend the conference.

Major Topics

Topic 1: Agricultural Water Resources and Water Environment: water use efficiency and agricultural water conservation, agricultural activities and groundwater protection, sustainable agricultural water resources management and utilization, safe salt water reclamation and utilization technology, farmland (salt)water regulation process, water and soil conservation, etc.

Topic 2: Agricultural Ecology and Environment: nutrient cycle and utilization efficiency, soil pollution remediation and quality improvement, efficient utilization of saline-alkali resources, food chain nutrition and material circulation, ecosystem services, etc.

Topic 3: Crop Genetics and Molecular Design Breeding: wheat germplasm resource innovation and molecular breeding, molecular mechanism of crop resistance, anti-molecular mechanism of crops, high-yield molecular mechanism of crops, etc.

Topic 4: Intelligent Agriculture: block chain technology, internet technology application, agricultural remote sensing, agricultural big data research, agricultural modeling, etc.

Journal Special Issues

1. The full text of English papers will be collected before the conference and published as a special issue in the SCI Journal of “Agricultural Water Management” (5-Year Impact Factor: 3.366). The theme of the special issue is “Improving Water and Nitrogen Use Efficiency in China”. The authors whose paper selected for special issue should ensure that at least one person will register to attend the conference. The format of the article should be prepared based on the requirements of the periodical and the relevant issue used to directly submit the article. The full text will be submitted from April 1, 2018 to May 31, 2018.

2. The excellent conference papers of the authors in attendance will be selected and published in the special issue of Chinese Journal of Eco-Agriculture. The format of the article should follow the requirements of the journal. The papers should submit directly on the journal website at www.ecoagri.ac.cn with the tag line of “The First International Symposium on Efficient Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainable Development”. The Journal receives full-text in Chinese with extended abstract in English and then full-text in English with extended abstract in Chinese. The deadline for full text submission will be October 20, 2018 and the full text will be published in 2019.

Registration Fee

Participants are required to pay Registration Fee of 180 dollars for workers and 150 dollars for students. Payment of Registration Fee is through Visa Card when you register at website.

The conference committee will help to arrange meal and accommodation. Payments for accommodation and transportations should be done by participants.

Transportation (How to reach at hotel and conference place)

1) From Shijiazhuang Railway Station (high-speed railway station): Take No.67 bus from the east square of the railway station and get off the bus at “Binnanhuayuan Stop”(宾南花园) (actually the stop is100 meter south of Hebei Hotel). Or take bus No. 55 and get off at "YucaiYuhuaIntersection Stop"（育才裕华交叉口） (which is actually 500 meter north of Hebei Hotel). Or take taxi from west square of the railway station to the Hebei Hotel (which costs around 15-20 Yuan).

2) From North Shijiazhuang Railway Station: Take a taxi to Hebei Hotel (which costs around 25-30 Yuan).

3) From Shijiazhuang Airport: Board Airport Bus Line 1 to “Hebei Stadium”（河北体育馆）or take Airport Bus Line 3 to “FuliIntercontinental Hotel”（富力洲际酒店）, and then take a taxi(both places are at 2km distance from the hotel which cost around  8 Yuan) to reach to the hotel. Taking taxi from airport directly to the Hebei Hotel costs around 120 Yuan (40km distance).
