The First International Symposium on Efficient Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainable Development
The “First International Symposium on Efficient Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainable Development” is scheduled to be held in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province from October 25 to 27, 2018.It will gather scholars together to jointly discuss efficient utilization of agricultural resources, green agriculture, sustainable development and other topics with an aim to boost the sustainable development of the agricultural sector.
The symposium arrangements are as follows:
I Topics of the Symposium
Topic 1: Agricultural water resources and water environment: Water use efficiency and agricultural water conservation; Agricultural activities and groundwater protection; Agricultural water resources management and sustainable utilization; Mechanism and technology for safe utilization of salt water and reclaimed water; Water-salt process and regulation in farmland; Soil and water conservation and water resource conservation, etc.
Topic 2: Agricultural Ecology and Environment: Nutrient recycling and utilization efficiency and environmental effects; Remediation of soil pollution and improvement of soil quality; Efficient utilization of saline-alkali resources; Food chain nutrition and material circulation; Ecosystem services, etc.
Topic 3: Crop Genetics and Molecular Design Breeding: Innovation of wheat germplasm resources and molecular design breeding; Disease resistance molecular mechanism of crops; Adversity resistance molecular mechanism of crops; High yield molecular mechanism of crops, etc.
Topic 4: Smart Agriculture: Block chain technology; Application of the technology of Internet of Things; Agricultural remote sensing; Smart agriculture and agricultural big data; Agricultural model, etc.

VII. Special Issue of the Symposium
Excellent papers presented by the participating authors will be published in the special issue or column in the Journal of Ecological Agriculture of China. Please refer to the specific requirements of the journal for the format of the article. Submit the article in the website of the journal (www.ecoagri.ac.cn) and mark the paper with “Submitted to the International Symposium on Efficient Utilization of Agricultural Resources and Sustainable Development”. Please submit the Chinese full text with English abstract or English full text with Chinese abstract. The special issue is expected to be published in the first half of 2019. The deadline for the full text is October 20, 2018.
VIII. Registration
Please fill in the reply slip (Attachment 1) and send it to: gjhy@sjziam.ac.cn. Please indicate the subject of the email with “Reply Slip of the Symposium”. Participants are required to pay registration fee, RMB 1,200 for regular participants and RMB 1,000 for student participants. The registration deadline is October 8, and registration after the deadline does not guarantee accommodation arrangements.
Payment Method:
Please make on-site payment at the registration desk on the day of registration.
IX. Accommodation
Accommodation and meals will be arranged by the organizer, at participants’ own expenses. The fare for the hotel is RMB 450 /day.
